San Diego, January 22, 1998 - The New Hartford Pop Warner Bears Website was named the Best Pop Warner Team Site in the 1998 Internet Football Awards sponsored by the Dick Butkus Football Network.
The award comes after being nominated as a 1997 All Pro Site Award Honoree and candidate for Best Pop Warner Team Site. The Bears web site took first place after capturing over 18% of the popular vote with the runner-up position going to the New York Bandits.
This year's awards were sponsored by the Dick Butkus Football Network and were hosted by Dick Butkus and Deacon Jones. The awards ceremony was broadcast live over the internet in Dick's chat room - "The Zone." Click here for a complete list of this year's winning web sites
